"Had trouble checking in as I could not contact host. Tried messaging through hotel.com but looks like it didn’t go through. We finally walked to the hotel but nobody was there. Thank goodness we ended up using WhatsApp and contacted our host. He was very helpful after we meet and the hotel was fantastic. "
"We absolutely loved Masseria Torre Saracena and were so happy to have booked our stay here. The building is an elegantly restored historic stone structure. Each room has a small private balcony with views of the surrounding valleys, hills, town of Aggrigento, and ocean in the distance. We also had a view from the bathroom window of the stone cliffs behind us.
The property is located in the foothills outside of Aggrigento, very conveniently located to town and all of the Valley of the Temples historic sites. Breakfast was a delicious assortment of savory (cheeses, meat) and sweet (pastries), fresh fruits, yogurt, juices, and more. We would definitely stay again. "
"Lovely, small property near (1km) beaches. Small hotel equals small staff, but they try to meet your needs. Would recommend for quiet couples vacation."
"Though Favara itself was difficult to drive through due to the narrow streets, and at some points it seemed like we were lost, we eventually got to the Alba Palace Hotel and were able to park right in front of the entrance for free.
We stayed here to see the Valley of the Temples, not a far drive from Favara. The hotel is very clean and modern. Helpful front desk and nice room. Balcony is tiny, only enough for one or two people to stand on. But the room and bathroom were great, nice and clean.
We ate at their rooftop restaurant - nice view! But you must let the front desk know so they can reserve a table for you, as there are only a few tables up there. But it was a very nice meal, attentive service, and good food and drinks!"
"Lovely property and the lovely and charming Rita makes a great breakfast. Her son offer transport whenever I needed as I had no car. The distance to town and the mosaics was perfect."
"The hotel is a really modern boutique hotel and well looked after, we booked the suite and it was large enough to put our child to sleep while we had a bottle of wine and relax. But also plenty of space for him to walk around the appartment and play. It is somewhere where you need a car, Marina di Palma has several good, friendly restaurants but realistically need to drive to them. However the views are amazing and really did feel like we had the place to ourselves a lot of the time, including the pool. The staff were lovely and Sabrina could not help enough, kept the breakfast replenished and offered to get us any special requests of fruit. Good beaches and Agrigento (including the Valley of the Temples) all a short drive away, but in a very secluded and quiet spot. Thank you for the stay and the service. "
"Lovely place at the end of a cup de sac with views of the historic town. Hosts very welcoming, the room delightful and a great breakfast. Highly recommended."
"A very relaxing two days as we were the only overnight guests. The pool is spectacular- surrounded by olive trees and tranquil. Breakfast excellent and kindly served. Room very comfortable too. Many thanks"
"It's a very nice place to be, spotless, and with an amazing view. Laura makes everything comfortable and easy; she is the soul of the place. You will feel at home. "
"Booked same day but nobody was there when I tried to check in. The phone went straight to the operator they never emailed me instructions to check in! I had to sleep in my car. This isn’t a real hotel. "
"We stayed for a week and we were very happy with the service. The breakfast was very good with many options to choose from. The staff is very accommodating and they go out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed. The first room they gave us after two days had a bit of mould forming on the wall due to the rainy humid weather and while we were out, without us saying anything or complaining at all, they took it upon themselves to switch our rooms. We had family where we would eat but the restaurant attached to the hotel has excellent reviews even by the locals. I will definitely be returning. "
"It is advertised as “waterfront”. It is not waterfront . The water is far, far away, and almost impossible to walk to. The photos provided were intentionally misleading, making it look like the water is close.IT IS NOT!"
"The property is in central location, rooms are spaceous and clean, the bed is VERY comfortable, bathroom very clean and spaceous.
David is a very nice host.
Around the corner are several very good Italian restaurants as well.
I will definately come back!"
"I was very pleased with this hotel. It was very modern and had recently been remodeled. It had all the amenities that I was looking for. I was very comfortable and felt very safe here."
"Staying at Daphne house is a must. First, other reviews are 100 correct, as this property is superbly clean, decorated, and taken care of. There is even a lift for accessability. The homecooked breakfast and cakes were all made from locally sourced ingredients. Honestly, the cakes should be sold in a shop. They are amazing. The host will go out of her way to make you comfortable. We had a hard afternoon before checking in, so to make us feel more settled she gave us some cake and coffee on arrival. To top it all off, she even gave us a tour of her olive trees, and let us sample her homemade olive oil. Such an exceptional, authentic, talented, and intelligent host! A wonderful experience indeed!"
