"Very nice indeed. Staff wonderful. Very relaxing food excellent Room comfortable but lack of places to put things. Form over function. Basin could not hold water! No mirror in dressing table area so hairdryer not close to socket. All easily solved. It seemed designed beautifully by someone who had never slept in the room. But. Did not detract. A lovely hotel"

There were quite a few restaurants within walking distance, which was really convenient. The only complaint is that there’s no elevator, so we had to carry our heavy suitcases up and down the stairs. Overall, a good stay with just one main inconvenience"

"I really love this hotel. It is part of the Contact chain of hotels. The room was nice, clean and spacious. The public tram is only a few minutes from the hotel. Parking is easy and free. There is no laundry facility in this room, though Expedia lists it as one of the amenities. There is a laundromat in the shopping mall close by. Overall, La Provencale is great value for the money. "

"This hotel was great. A few bugs trying to figure out the parking garage but the staff was super helpful. The rooftop bar/restaurant was our favorite place every evening with wonderful views of the German submarine pens and the Cite de Vin. We drove the first 2 days to city center but walked along the water to Cite du Vin and found the tram station. So much easier to take the tram. Staff was so kind and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is also on the deck and the food was much better than I expected and the customizable coffee machines made my mornings. Highly recommend and would stay here again if we return to the area."

"We chose this hotel as an overnight stay on a longer road trip. It was fine but the room was very small to fit a double bed plus 'loft' area with 2 twin beds. The air circulation was poor and the loft area very warm. Also the A/C struggled and had a constant drip right at the door. We put a cup under it, but eventually just turned it off. Lastly, for some reason we had to pay 'tax' on the breakfast that was included with the price of our room when booking.. Otherwise the stay was adequate to our needs and the staff congenial."

"We booked this after reading reviews from others. The accommodation is very simple but met our needs perfectly. It is very clean, has a comfortable bed, a handy little kitchenette which was well stocked with essential implements. It has a terrific grocery store right around the corner. Le Cite Du Vin is a short walk away. The tram was within a minutes walk and we were a quick ride from the old city. It was a stones throw from the waterfront and the bridge to the other side of the river was right outside the door. I would say this is an excellent, affordable place to stay and would do it again. Also a few tram stops fom the cruise ships. "

"We travelled 4 weeks through France. From Paris to St Tropez and back to Bordeaux and stayed at 8 hotels (all 5Star) This was our favourite by far. The personal touches, the amazing staff and the Chateau itself are all impeccable. Antony without prompting arranged our dinner and lunches as well as wine tasting locally. Nothing was too difficult and everyone from breakfast service to evening drink service couldn’t be more delightful. This will be our first stop on our next trip. "

"Cheap place to stay just around the main drag of Bordeaux. Really an over night stop, not much around for food/drink so be prepared to drive or UBER eats delivery. Basic and cheap but clean and the young man who was sometimes at the desk (not manned 24/7) was friendly and helpful. "

"We woke up late and missed breakfast. We asked the lady serving breakfast if it was too late and she kindly prepared us a breakfast just for us. She was so friendly and helpful. Her service was above and beyond and we can't thank her enough. Réception was also very friendly. Id recommend this hotel purely for the servive. Only negative was the air con in the room which was 26c all night."

"This nice and modern aparthotel is well maintained and its location is very convenient as there is a tram station just half a block away. You can be in Bordeaux’s historic center in less than 20 minutes and if you’re traveling to the next destination by train, the train station (Saint-Jeanne) is just half an hour away at just 3.3 Euros per person. I highly recommend this hotel. I would book again. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I can’t comment about that. The staff is friendly and they explain well to you what you can do in town. "
