"Very nice, modern and clean. In all honesty better than the supposed 4 star hotel we stayed at the week before. The room is on the 4th floor without elevator. So be prepared. But we loved it. Highly recommended. We were traveling with our 6 year old, the Smart TV was a great feature and we were able to watch Netflix and keep our son entertained. "

"La struttuta si trova in una piccola stradina , dal balcone il paesaggio non é propriamente edificante, le scale di accesso sono senza ascensore e le tende sono veramente sporche . L' interno é accogliente ma la stanza é fredda , nel bagno non è presente un mobiletto su cui poggiare il necessario per trucco o barba, il coperchio del wc non é lo stesso del wc quindi scivola da una parte, di notte quando siamo tornati non c' era l' acqua calda e i riscaldamenti erano spenti. "Venafro is a special place! Close to Cassino, exceedingly tranquil and definitely not overrun by tourists.
Dimora del Prete is a beautiful and well preserved palace with historical significance but with modern touches and amenities. During our stay we felt well taken care of with a yummy and elegantly set out breakfast. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and special. Our host, Angela, appeared out of nowhere with her perfect English and eagerness to assist us in just about everything from parking our car to finding a perfect gift for our son. The tour of the opulent palace that she gave us was an unexpected bonus and made us delve into 18-19th century Italian history. In sum, our stay was outstanding and we’re very glad that our Italian trip included Dimora del Prete and Venafro. "

The communication was excellent—quick, helpful responses from the moment we booked. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed with elegant linens, and filled with stunning artwork throughout the building that made every hallway feel like a gallery.
One of the most impressive aspects was the daily housekeeping. Our bed was made each morning and the room tidied—a level of care and attention that seems lost in many American hotels, even at high-end resorts. It was refreshing to feel genuinely taken care of, rather than having to chase down basic customer service. (Yes, Disney—this one’s for you!)
The atmosphere of Palazzo Cannavina was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight—served upon request and beautifully presented, it felt more like being a guest in someone’s refined home than staying in a hotel and with Castello Monforte just steps from your door, you’re quite literally surrounded by history.
Campobasso itself is a hidden gem. The local shopping and dining were charming, with an authenticity that’s hard to find in more tourist-heavy spots. The people of Campobasso are kind, welcoming, and clearly excited to share their city with visitors.
