Above all, the staff are exceptional. The front desk staff are very knowledgeable about Merida and take care of every detail with great professionalism. The operations team is on top of every detail. The cleaning staff and wait staff are super helpful, willing to go over and beyond to make sure guests have what they need. I highly recommend the spa, too! Hotel Unknown is like my home away from home and the only place I stay when visiting Merida. I can’t wait to go back."

"I really loved staying at Gran Hotel de Merida. It was such a unique experience staying in such a beautiful historic hotel in the best location in the city. I stayed for four nights and the staff was amazing and I really appreciated all the attention to details you can see around the hotel. For example the light from the inside courtyard makes a beautiful pattern on your wall at night when it goes through the door. Anyways I would highly recommend the Gran hotel de Merida and I will absolutely be staying there again in the future. "
