"Beautiful hotel with amazing staff ready and willing to assist. No TVs, no noise. Great way to relax and enjoy the nature and all the sounds from the jungle. Beach is a short walk away. Uber was a good way to get around since we didn't have a rental car. We enjoyed the pool, and the patio in front of our room was a wonderful spot to enjoy our morning coffee."

"This is my second year in a row staying at Bungalows Punta Uva and I love it! All of the staff are so warm, friendly, kind and accommodating! The location is perfect and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! "

"I stayed at namu garden in June 2025 and had a lovely experience. My bungalow and the property were immaculately clean and well cared for. The private plunge pool was cleaned daily by the staff, removing particles from all the tropical plants and insects that might have gathered during the night. The property is conveniently located near two grocery stores and a fruit stand so you can easily grab snacks and refreshments for your room. You're a 5 minute walk away from the closest beach as well as the touristy beach shops. The staff at the hotel, we're super friendly and helpful. I was slightly disappointed as I thought the pictures indicated that the bungalows had a bathtub however, my room only had a shower. I really liked the daily WhatsApp messages from the hotel staff and chef with the daily specials. I traveled solo and felt perfectly safe the entire time."

"This was our first time in Puerto Viejo, and we picked this place because the ratings were so awesome. And it's no surprise why! The hotel is super chill and eco-friendly, but still has all the stuff you need for a really comfortable stay. The staff, and even the owner, are just incredibly friendly and welcoming—none of that stuffy, fake-smile vibe you get at other places. The hotel is totally off the beaten path, which we loved. It's close enough to all the restaurants and shops (like our new favorite, Cafe Rico), but far enough away that it was quiet at night. We really appreciated being less than a mile from the noisy part of town so we could just relax. The saltwater pool and the board games in the reception area were a major plus, too. We've officially found our go-to spot in Puerto Viejo. Can't wait to come back and see you all again soon!"
