Hotel Tigullio et de Milan
10/10 Excellent
"This is a lovely place and only a short walk from the waterfront (not on the waterfront as the listing says). Parking in a side street was easy and it appeared to be safe. Staff were lovely and breakfast was great. "
"A wonderful family owned hotel! Location was perfect for train, ferry and bus.
The hotel was extremely clean and the balcony had such an amazing sea view.
The family catered to everything and could not have asked for more.
The entire staff was welcoming every morning and evening as we left and returned to the property. "
"Fantastic staff. Very nice and helpful. We spoke Italian but they are fluent in English as well. Very accommodating and plenty of suggestions if needed. Didn't get to use spa but nice breakfast each morning , good espresso and you can walk to virtually anywhere in town. Close to boat rentals as well. Will be back when we visit Rapallo again"
"The Hotel Villa Balbi is an outstanding hotel with the best staff in Europe. Mario, Alessandro, Vincenzo at the front desk as well as the rest of the staff treat you like family and are a large part of the fantastic experience. Highly recommend!"
"We drove in from the Genoa airport and needed to make sure the hotel offered parking. The staff was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and communicative. It was easy to find and even though we arrived before check in they had space that allowed us to freshen up and store our luggage so that we could keep to our schedule as we were in town only for one night and had a lot to squeeze in. The room was HUGE! We traveled with our 2 teenage children so we chose the 2 bedroom 1 bath room and it was perfect. The hotel is a short 15-20 min walk to the Rapallo train station where you can easily purchase an on/off pass for the family to visit Cinque Terre. Breakfast was delicious with so much variety and the ambiance was beyond lovely. I would highly recommend Hotel Canali and will visit again should we ever find ourselves back in that region. "
"Second time staying here and that is for this reason, this place is great, best hotel in the region, a bit off the main drag in a good way, steps from beach, restaurants, grocery store, cafe etc. the staff is amazing the breakfast is actually pretty decent by Italian standards. I love the region and I love this hotel! Shout out to Nadir great employee always helpful’ "
"Lovely hotel in the traditional Italian Riviera style. Staff could not have been more helpful. Food and service were excellent. Only criticism was the lack of a shuttle service to the centre of town which, given the position of the hotel on top of a hill, the high cost of local taxis and the high temperatures, made it difficult for older customers or those with mobility difficulties."
"Great hotel for the price and location
Staff very friendly, pretty clean with good beach and cool automated parking machine!
Breakfast also good and reasonably priced. "
"Beautiful property, stylish and comfortable rooms, gorgeous views and the amenities were great. Piano player in the evening was a highlight and so was the beach. Highly recommend.
"
"We stayed one night in this beautiful hotel. The hill is a bit of a climb (especially in the July heat) but worth it for the views and to stay in this lovely setting "
